Jonathan Maberry has been a professional writer since 1978 and is the author of over 20 books (fiction and nonfiction), original Internet programs, 1100-plus articles, plays, short stories, etc.

He is a multiple Bram Stoker Award winner. His novels include GHOST ROAD BLUES (winner of the 2006 Stoker for Best First Novel), DEAD MAN'S SONG, and BAD MOON RISING (Pinnacle Books), PATIENT ZERO (due from St Martins Press in March 2009) and THE WOLF-MAN (Borders/Universal, due April 2009 based upon the screenplay by Andrew Kevin Walker and David Self).

His nonfiction books include VAMPIRE UNIVERSE, THE CRYPTOPEDIA (winner of the 2007 Stoker for Best Nonfiction), ZOMBIE CSU: The Forensics of the Living Dead ( 2008), THEY BITE (due 2009) and VAMPIRE HUNTERS AND OTHER ENEMIES OF EVIL (due 2010).

Recently he co-created (with Laura Schrock) ON THE SLAB, an entertainment news show for ABC Disney Stage 9, to be released on the Internet in October 2008. He is developing more Internet shows (fiction and nonfiction), video games, and other products.

Jonathan is a frequent guest lecturer and workshop leader for writers conferences (speaking on Book Pitching, Writing Fight & Action Scenes, Breaking into Publishing, etc.); genre conferences, and general business (on using creativity to enhance business performance). He has done workshops, signings and readings at ThrillerFest, BackSpace, Fangoria, HorrorFind, MonsterMania, Sisters in Crime, Philadelphia Writers Conference, The Write Stuff, Wildwood Writers Conference, University of Pennsylvania Writers Conference, Dragon*Con, and many others.

He’s also written a number of nonfiction books on martial arts and self-defense; he holds an 8th degree black belt in jujutsu, and is an inductee into the International Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
